John Johnson Senior Pastor John joined the Northwest Baptist church staff in August 2007, with 15 years of experience ministering in churches in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Georgia. John grew up in the Orlando area and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Social Science Education. His Masters of Divinity degree was earned at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Currently John is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. John has been happily married to Ruth Ann for 15 years after they met in a Sunday School class at the First Baptist Church of Winter Park, FL. She is a graduate of Georgia State University and is employed as a Medical Technologist at North Florida Regional in Gainesville. They have two boys, Dale and Anthony who are currently students at Santa Fe Community College. Their third “child” is a 5-year-old West Highland White Terrier named Colin.

Michael Mosby Minister of Music & Education Michael joined the staff of Northwest Baptist Church, December 7, 2003 as Minister of Music. Prior to his coming he served as Minster of Music and Youth at Woodville First Baptist Church just south of Tallahassee. Michael received his undergraduate degree in church music from Mississippi College. There he served in two churches as Minister of Music. He received his Masters of Arts in Christian Education specializing in music from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. While in New Orleans he served as Minister of Music and Youth of First Baptist Church Norco. Tia, his wife and partner, is of great help to him in ministry. She has a degree in music education and loves to serve the Lord. Rebecca, his daughter, loves the Lord and is willing to use the talent God has given her for Him.

Al, Lisa, Jolie, & Lana

Al Paulson Student Minister Al Paulson is our Minister of Students. He and his wife Lisa have two children, Jolie Anne and Lana LaNell. Al is a native Floridian and received his bachelor's degree from the Baptist College of Florida. He has a master's degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Al has been with Northwest Baptist Church since March of 2008.
