What Worship is to us...
At Northwest Baptist
Church we have a blended worship service that has both traditional and
contemporary elements. We feel that music plays an important part in our
worship. It is our goal to give everyone and opportunity to connect somewhere.
Worship Choir
This choir leads in
worship at the 10:45 am service. They share through many varied musical styles.
The Worship Choir also works on special presentations throughout the
year. Nursery care is provided. Involvement in this ministry is open to any and
all who love to sing.
Joyful Noise
This 55+ choir is
designed to do ministry in our community. Joyful Noise meets every 2nd
and 4th Tuesday September through May. They sing on occasion for the
worship service but their main area of ministry is visiting area nursing homes
and sharing their music with the people of those facilities. This choir is open
to anyone.
Musical Events
The Worship Choir
presents several musical events throughout the year. These include but are not
limited to Easter, God & Country, and Christmas.
Preschool Choir
This choir is the
first step of musical education at Northwest Baptist Church. This choir focuses
on having fun with music and learning the way that God uses music in our lives.
The Preschool Choir performs a few times during the year in the morning or
evening worship services.
Children’s Choir
This choir is for
children in 1st-5th grades. They spend their time
preparing a variety of music. This choir also takes time to learn so basic
musical skills. They have many different instruments that they incorporate into
their lessons including boom-whackers, hand chimes and more. As this ministry
grows the goal is to sing one musical a year.
Northwest Drama
The Drama Ministry
is a new ministry which we hope will continue to grow. The goal is to add visual
elements to our worship services and to get as many people as would like a
chance to participate.
Youth Choir
Youth
Choir is open to all youth (6th-12th grade). This group
meets at the same times as Northwest Drama and is used to enhance the
presentations of the drama ministry.
Worship Orchestra
This ministry is
a group of instrumental musicians who share in the music and worship at
Northwest Baptist Church. We encourage persons who play an instrument to join
this ensemble and play during our worship services, and special events.
Northwest Worship
This ensemble is
a team who leads on Sunday morning. This is a select group of singers out of the
worship choir that is always on the look out for new members. If you would be
